Schlep-Word of the Day

The day wouldn't be a day without...

...some experience related to The Office. Today's involved my professor, a TV hooked up to a DVD player behind him, and one simple logo going back and forth on the screen. I have never been so tempted to take out my phone in class just to take a picture. Or, to cheer when the logo actually hit the corner.

I guess you had to have been there. Or, seen the episode.

First Day of Classes

And, here we go...

First Tiramisu experience

9/6/2010

Did you know mascarpone not only has an expiration date but it also has an expiration time? Good thing I used the mascarpone that I bought on Saturday when I did. It is set to expire December 1, 2010 at 4:26 am. I'm glad they gave me the additional four hours and twenty-six minutes.

Fire in Manhattan

9/5/2010

I saw my first building fire. It would be more exciting if I had a picture. Too bad I didn't have my phone on me. Good thing my friend had a phone and took a picture. Too bad he is holding it ransom.

I didn't know what to do...

9/4/2010

I was waiting to meet up with a friend when I saw a lady on a motor scooter coming towards me. She was taking it easy, coming along the street. Then I realized that she was slowing down. She literally stopped right in front of me and said, "this is the second time my battery died this week." I didn't know what to do.

So I just said I was sorry and walked away.

No joke.

Hurricane Earl

9/3/2010

Seriously, Earl!?! Where did you go? I went outside for lunch and felt a drop of rain and was a bit excited. What can I say, I like a good storm. Then I realized it was the air conditioner above me.

It was disappointing.
