Class got out early today. We watched Carl Dreyer's 1928 Passion of Joan of Arc. FYI - she was burned at the stake at the end of the film.
After the movie ended our professor wanted to know if we had any questions. In reality, though, he just wanted us to leave because he was tired. He said, "so, unless any of you have some burning questions..." We all groaned. Based on his facial expression there was no pun intended. We all laughed at his sincerity.
