The Devil Wears Prada-Ashley style

One of the assistants had to leave early yesterday from work because he was ill. As an intern, I was the lucky one to cover his desk, although nervous as it was my first time so I wasn't exactly sure what to do.

The exec did call me on his phone at one point (knowing his assistant, Harrison, had already left), "Harrison!"

I simply picked up and said, "yes?"

Just like Anne Hathaway was the new Emily, I am now the new Harrison. Well, for half a day at least.

I'm moving up...

Lunch Break

On my way to lunch yesterday at my internship, a man asked me if I would adopt him.

He then said he would adopt me.

I just laughed.

What else was I to do?

Solidifying my schedule for the new semester

I finally have my schedule for the next semester solidified. I'm not producing anything, although I will work on a few sets. I am taking six classes (3 credits each) and doing an internship.

Piece of cake, right?

I am also doing an internship at eOne, a distribution company in Beverly Hills.

Getting my culture on

Driving 2 hours to LA gives me a lot of down time. I prefer not to wear headphones in the car so I decided to look up some NPR stations.

I'm feeling more and more cultured every time I drive to LA.

Internship duties

I was asked to retrieve a phone from an execs car. I was given the key, told the color and model of car and phone number of the assistant should I need help (mind you, I was 3 levels underground so calling the assistant was utterly impossible).

I successfully accomplished the task. However, next time I will be sure to request which button on the key chain turns off the car alarm.

L.A. Traffic

L.A. Traffic is a monster without an explanation.

For example, if I leave at 7 am I get to my internship right on time: at 9:30 am.

However, if I leave at 6:45 am then I get there at 8:30 am.

Kinda ridiculous.

I suppose that's the price I pay for sunny weather...

It has been awhile...

But now that I'm back in an office with an internship, I'm ready to start blogging again.

Producing

For the past month and a half I have spent my time producing a TV Pilot for a class. We finished filming Tuesday night.

Today I spent my time catching up on all the shows I have missed.

Priorities, people. Priorities.
